Dave Lochtie is a highly experienced leader and practitioner in Higher Education, an established conference keynote speaker and acclaimed author/editor.
He is Co-chair of the Association for Peer Learning and Support which promotes best practice in student-led learning and a former Chair of the UK Advising and Tutoring association (UKAT) which supports personal tutors and academic advisors across the UK. He is the Operations Manager for the Ann Craft Trust, a national charity that exists to minimise the risk of abuse of adults through pioneering training, practice reviews and contributing to world-leading research.
He has worked in student services management roles at the Open University and universities of Derby and New Orleans as well as serving as a Director, Trustee and Governor of the University of Roehampton and Bournemouth University Students’ Union. He has been a keynote speaker on student support and advising at conferences in the UK, US, Oman and China.
